We've compiled below the most frequently asked questions and useful information about our Local Wanderings. 

ARE YOUR EXPERIENCES SAFE IN THE CURRENT COVID-19 CLIMATE?
Our Wanderings have been put together with safety first in mind. Being a self-drive itinerary, your experience will be mostly contained within your own group. All of our suppliers comply to recommended safety precautions while handing you out their products, so that you can enjoy your experience with confidence and peace of mind.

HOW LONG DOES AN EXPERIENCE TAKE?
Our self-drive* Local Wanderings generally take 5-6 hours to complete and have three morning start times to choose from. Make sure you allow a full day for your experience so that you don't have to rush the various stops and can fully enjoy the few detours on the road. *You will need your own car to get around our experiences.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE TO GO? You will know where to go by opening a series of clues and riddles, leading you to the different stops of the itinerary. The clues will be easy enough to solve, so give them your best shot. If you do need a little nudge, you'll be able to text us at any time to receive helpful pointers.

WHAT KIND OF FOOD/BEVERAGE CAN I EXPECT?
We won't give too much away as it is part of the experience to surprise and delight you along the way! Rest assured though our selection has been carefully curated, focusing on gourmet products from local artisans and following the traditional picnic favorites such as: premium cheese, meat, fruit, bread, spreads and wine/cider. And of course, something sweet because why would anyone pass on dessert? Degustation items are seasonal and may vary slightly.

CAN YOU TAILOR FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS? We sure can! When booking your Local Wandering, you'll be able to indicate your dietary requirements to ensure that you have the best possible time during your experience.  

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I MAKE A BOOKING? You will receive a booking confirmation as well as your payment receipt by email. Our team will contact you at the phone number and/or email address you've entered to confirm the details of your booking, such as your experience start time and meeting point.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL MY EXPERIENCE START?
On the day of your Local Wandering, you'll need to come and collect your picnic kit* and Itinerary pack from our Kitsilano head office, and attend your onboarding briefing. We'll also make you sign a waiver and answer any final questions you might have. Then off you go! Your self-drive experience will start the moment you open your first clue...
*You can either drop off the basket back to us at the end of your experience, or up to 2 days after - upon prior arrangement with our friendly team.  

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Our beautiful region can sometimes be unpredictable, so please keep an eye on the weather and dress appropriately on the day of your experience. Most itineraries will involve some light walking, so we recommend you trade your heels to comfortable shoes for the day. Other than that, just bring yourself and your camera if you fancy to do so. The experience is fully catered and will offer entertainment throughout the day. 

DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?

I CANNOT COME TO VANCOUVER FOR THE ONBOARDING. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
If you'd like to depart from a place other than Central Vancouver, we can arrange a virtual onboarding over the phone. Your clues will be sent out digitally in the morning of your experience, and you will simply have to bring your own picnic gear for the day.

I DON'T HAVE A CAR. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
We are proud to partner with Modo Car Share services and their wide range of vehicles at low prices. Use the code WANDER50 when creating your account to get $50 in drive time credit. This will be the perfect way to get around your itinerary for the day.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND CHANGES POLICY?
We require 3 days notice by email for any change or cancellation to redeem a full refund. Changes or cancellations made outside of this notice might not be subject to a refund. If the weather is looking too bad on the day of your booking, we can work on re-scheduling at a better time upon availability.
